A well known journalist at Rwanda Broadcasting Agency, Aimée Beauté Mushashi, has officially begun a new chapter in her personal life after marrying her partner Francis Nyamaswa.
The couple formalized their union through a traditional ceremony held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Kinyinya, located in Kigali. During the event, Nyamaswa visited Mushashi’s family to formally ask for her hand in marriage and present the bride price, a cultural step that marks an important milestone in many Rwandan marriages. Friends, relatives, and invited guests attended the ceremony to celebrate and wish the couple success in their future together.
Mushashi currently works as a news presenter at Rwanda Television under the national broadcaster RBA. After the civil ceremony, they proceeded with traditional marriage customs, which remain a valued cultural practice in Rwanda.
Before the ceremonies, Mushashi also expressed her happiness publicly. She posted a message inspired by the Bible, quoting Song of Solomon 3:4, which states, “I found the one my heart loves.” The message reflected her excitement as she prepared for the wedding events.
Mushashi’s career in journalism has developed steadily over the years. Many viewers first recognized her while she worked at TV1 between 2017 and 2024. During that period, she gained visibility as a television presenter and reporter covering national news and public affairs.
After leaving TV1, she joined the national broadcaster RBA, where she continues to work in the news department. Her move allowed her to reach a wider audience through the country’s public media platform.
Earlier in her career, Mushashi also worked in campus media. In 2016 she served at Radio Salus, a station linked to the University of Rwanda. She also gained media experience at RC Huye between 2014 and 2016 while pursuing her studies.
Mushashi later completed her university education with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Rwanda. Her academic background, combined with practical media experience, contributed to her growth in Rwanda’s competitive journalism sector.
